Tenancy Support Most of us have
been very fortunate in life. We have grown up in stable happy family
environments, had average educations, found financially rewarding jobs,
set up home, maybe got a mortgage and, even without knowing it,
developed social skills to cope with everyday life ……
What if
you were not given, were not shown/taught, did not have the mental
capacity to ask for help, or life just dealt you a bad hand …… and, on
top of all this, you are just about to sign a tenancy agreement for your
FIRST ever home! Scary hey …… a big decision for anyone.
Well,
this is where the Friary's Tenancy Support Team comes in: to offer as
much support and advice as needed. This can be anything from benefits
advice, to fetching and carrying the week’s shopping, showing people how
and where to pay bills. These are all things I guess we all take for
granted at times, even me .... Because remember that some people, for
whatever reason, just haven't been given the chances which we have.

years support from the Tenancy workers – I’ve been helped by Friary, on
