Crèche
The Crèche operates on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays mornings, during the "Open
Sessions" at the Centre.
We are very lucky
working in the Crèche; we have lovely babies to play with and lively
young children to make us laugh! In return, we make sure that they have
lots of colourful toys to create imaginary games with and paint and glue
to amaze their parents with their talents. We aim to provide a cosy,
stimulating environment for the children who, hopefully, respond we hope
by feeling relaxed and free to join in and make new friends - and want
to come again!
We had to say ‘goodbye’ to Jacqui in June, but we
still see her at the centre, and we are happy to welcome Carol to our
team. Carol has had lots of experience working with young children and
brings fresh ideas and new activities to try.
Every day is special,
but our Christmas celebrations were particularly exciting this year.
First of all we joined Friary Playschool’s Christmas production and we
sang along with favourite songs including ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’.
Unfortunately, the little girl dressed as a star decided it was too much
and hid behind a barrier – ahh!
A crèche party was
planned for 23rd December, so that the older children could
come too. A magician had been booked and we waited anxiously for her
arrival, hoping that she would captivate all the children with their
varying age ranges. We needn’t have worried, as soon as she appeared –
not in a ‘puff of smoke’, but through the door – we were reassured.
Thank you for entertaining us all with amazing tricks and funny stories.
We even had disco dancing with flashing lights to finish. Delicious food
was followed by the excitement of Father Christmas and a present. The
verdict – a perfect party!
There
are more fun times ahead: let’s look back on these days and smile!
